Rajasthan couple gave birth to a child after 54 years of marriage

After 54 years of marriage, the parents are 75-year-old Gopichand Singh and 70-year-old Chandravati Devi from Rajasthan, India. The family of this elderly couple is happy to have a child for the first time in a long marriage. Doctors said, this is the first such incident in Rajasthan.

According to Times of India, Gopichand-Chandravati couple are residents of Nuharia village in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan. Married almost 54 years ago today. Despite many attempts, it was not possible for the couple to conceive a child. He wandered from temple to temple hoping to get a child. Various types of treatment in the hospital were not excluded.

The Gopi-Chandravati couple even tried IVF twice. But failed twice. But did not give up hope. They took the help of IVF procedure for the third time a year and a half ago. And this time a rare event happened. Chandravati got pregnant 9 months ago. Although the doctors were concerned about the whole matter. One of the reasons is the age of the mother. However, 70-year-old Chandravati did not disappoint the doctors this time.

Overcoming all problems, Chandravati gave birth to a healthy son on August 8. It is reported that both the child and the mother are completely healthy.

This is likely to be the last case of IVF birth at such an advanced age in India.
